Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Regulations become law on 1 October 2015. The regulations have compliance implications for landlords and letting agents in England.
On 11 March 2015 the Housing Minister announced that landlords would be required to install and check smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in all of their properties. Draft regulations were issued and guidance produced by the Department for Communities and Local Government on 4 September.
